For this project, we worked with the clinic in Kara Tokoi to install a water tank and pump, water heater, and a sink so that the doctor and nurses in the clinic would have access to fresh, hot water without needing to haul the water into the clinic from a source outside and then heat the water up for hand washing.

CAPS has been doing clean water projects in the Chatkal Valley since 2015. In 2018 our project team purchased high-quality pumps that will withstand freezing temperatures up to -40 degrees so that the people in the region can continue to receive water even during the coldest parts of the winter.
