2018 Tokmok School Windows Project

School #2 in Tokmok expressed the need for renovated windows so that the classrooms on the top floor of the building could be utilized year round. Prior to the completion of this project, the top floor was too cold for students to study during the coldest months in the winter and was often left unused. With our local partners, we replaced all of the windows on the top floor and down one full side of the building and added a better front door to the building to help prevent temperature loss within the building. The project started in mid-October and was completed within a month.

After the project was completed, CAPS administration were invited to a performance put on by the students of the school. During the visit in mid-December, school officials commented on how much warmer the new windows allowed the classrooms to be.

CAPS administration along with the project manager were hosted as guests for a school talent show that included singing, dancing, national dress, and playing of national instruments.
